Every season in the literary world we come across some incredibly talented writers who, at some wildly young age have crafted a debut novel. Recently, I got a chance to interview this unbelievably, brilliant young star, ‘Kristina Naydonova’, a rising teen author, who has just published her first novel “The Black Sisterhood Files” at the age of 13. And guess what? She nailed it.
Hereby, I am posting this exclusive interview of Kristina Naydonova. This talented young girl will surely inspire you, Enjoy!!
•Hi Kristina, for those who don’t know, could you start off by telling us a little bit about you and your new book.
Hello readers! Thank you again for the opportunity to do this interview. My name is Kristina Naydonova – I am the thirteen-year-old bestselling thriller author of The Black Sisterhood Files, public speaker, and mindfulness coach on the platform “Thrive Global”. The Black Sisterhood Files was published on May 15, 2020 and is a crime fiction mystery that encompasses six girls’ adventure to unearth the identity of a mysterious killer who has massacred their town.
•When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer/author?
Upon reading Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle at the age of seven, I realized that I had a very profound passion for literature that could extend far into writing dark and mysterious books the likes of Conan Doyle or Stephen King’s works. I began to draft my novel when I was eight and struggled at first with developing the plot and characters. I took a couple writer workshops, however, and the process went much faster after that!
•Did any author inspire you to write this book?
Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, Kathleen Glasglow, Marissa Meyers, and Arthur Conan Doyle.
•In your opinion, what is the hardest part about writing a book?
The hardest part about writing a book is choosing and developing characters that will appeal to readers and resonate with them in a way that makes the book intriguing and captivating.
•Do you have a mentor for writing, and if so, how did you get that mentor?
I met Daniel Pink, #1 New York Times bestselling author, at a book signing event and he was intrigued by my story as a young and ambitious writer. He provided me with many helpful writing, editing, and publishing tips, as well as book marketing advice.
•What is the most surprising thing you discovered while writing your book?
I discovered how truly entertaining it is to create this fictitious world of characters and occurrences that one fabricated entirely by themselves.
•How long did it take to write your book?
Two years, then an additional two to edit and publish.
•Do you feel like it was harder for you to get attention as a young author?
I must say, it was actually easier!
•How do you balance writing and schoolwork and your social life?
It’s been very hard at times to balance school, writing, marketing, and keeping up with my social life. I try to regulate these all in an effective manner that isn’t too overbearing. I am fortunate to have friends, family, and teachers who understand my position and are lenient when I am sometimes unable to join a class or get an assignment done.
•What do your friends say about your book?
So far, my friends have been loving The Black Sisterhood Files and leaving very positive reviews on Amazon.
•What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I enjoy playing the piano, spending time outside, reading thriller or romance books, and baking with my older sister.
•How can people/readers contact you?
The optimal way to download/order a copy of The Black Sisterhood Files is by searching the title on your country’s Amazon; it is available on almost all Amazon platforms across the world! If you’d like to get in touch with me, please reach out via Instagram: @kristinanaydonova.
•I suppose you like to read books from other authors, too. Who is your favourite author?
My favorite author is Stephen King.
•What’s your favourite food?
•Your favourite tourist destination?
•Your most cherished memory
Traveling around Europe with my close family and discovering all sorts of new places, people, and intricate cultures.
•What are your future plans?
My future plans are to become the #1 bestselling and popular author of over 5 books, as well as more well-known speaker and mindfulness coach for thousands of people. I’d like to have a degree in law, economy, and political science sometime in the near future.
•Are you working on anything at the present, you would like to share with your readers about?
I am currently working on many exciting projects with podcasts, entrepreneurs, and social media platforms, as well as a new psychological thriller to be released close to Halloween.

•And lastly, what advice would you like to give to a new writer, someone who is just starting out?
This may sound awfully cheesy, but seriously NEVER give up. Whether you experience difficulties during your writing process, querying process, or publishing process, you cannot taste success without first undergoing failure and mistakes. So learn from your mistakes, compound upon your success, and truly never give up. Be resilient and impregnable.
Thank you Kristina for giving your time.
All the best for your future projects.
